The IMF/TSP subunit has been a great example of how digital accessibility can enable asynchronous participation. For example, within IMF/TSP, many staff maintaining and calibrating hospital machinery have little interaction with the greater UVM campus. This subunit is spread across 4 states in the New England area (VT, ME, NY, and NH) in several locations. Other staff within IMF/TSP work closely with UVM faculty such as prototyping machines and may be more connected across campus. On-site training is universally difficult in the IMF/TSP subunit due to the availability of those in this subunit often being on site and not able to attend a meeting or training all at the same time. Recording presentations and content to have people review asynchronously has also proven effective for inclusivity of remote team members, or those that are busy with a job during the event time.
